How much of a differance is there between the GA and the EP? I curranly own the EPox EP-9NPA+ultra and I can't find if the zalman heatsink will fit, All i see is GA-9NPA+ Ultra...

thx for who ever can help...

Look again, the Epox 9NPA+ Ultra is there !!!!

Although I do not feel the Zalman 7000 with the 120 mm fan will fit!!! Jut my opinion !!!

😉

I have the 7000 (with the 92 mm fan) and it fits just fine; I can even still remove the power connections and memory while it is in place. I don't know about the 7700, though (with the 120 mm fan), but I do know that there is still room with the 7000.

If you want to check compatibility, one way to check is to get a top-view image of the motherboard, convert the size of the heatsink to a size in pixels (relative to the size of the image, then draw a circle that size using an image editor, then see if it covers anything. I did that before buying, and found that the 7000 was able to fit just right without even going over anything. As for overlap, that's more difficult to figure out.

wait, I am confused. the 7000 is the regular 92 mm right? and the 7700 is the 120mm. That is what I always thought.

Zalman screwed up. There is no such thing as a GA-9NPA+Ultra. Epox always uses EP in their mainboard model numbers. Gigabyte uses GA.
