Should I get a GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 4 or M5A99X EVO R2.0 For my potential FX 8320
Main use : Gaming

I will Overclock and XFire So I prefer 990FXA-UD3's x16/x16 but I heared that M5A99X is better at Overclocking But 990FXA-UD3 have a 8+2 VRM better than Asus 6+2 VRM also M5A99X has more VRM protection and GA-990FXA-UD3 has more Failure rates as I was told

I don't know what to get I need your help
thanks in advance

P.S : please don't tell me to choose a Product because of its Manufacturer
That won't work. Both GB and Asus are Great

Both are sub-grade A AMD boards.
What about Sabertooth or CH5?
also..Biostar TA990FXE ;)
furthermore..M4a89gtd-pro or CH4 should also run your chip ;)

bUDGET ,BUDDY ;(
which mobo is the best of the two I posted ?

Agreed, shelling out extra for the top of the line AMD board seem counter to buying AMD these days since if you want top of the line you would be buying Intel.

Of those 2 I prefer the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 because it has slightly better onboard audio (Realtek ALC892 vs. ALC889).

It's not an apples to apples comparison, however, because the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 is based on the 990X chipset while the Gigabyte has the full blown 990FX chipset.

If you are planning on SLI / Crossfire you would want the full 990FX since it has more PCI-E lanes.

Gigabyte.

Better fan control, better memory management plus hot-swap AHCI that works.
CPU overclocking might be a toss, but the gigabyte is a better rounded board.

The Asus has a VRM section rated upto 275W and is well regarded as an overclocking motherboard like its 970 based cousin.
