I have a GA-965P-DS3 rev3.3 not sure of the bios right now I haven't looked at that in a while.
The problems I'm having are my network connection is dropping sometimes and my digital audio stops working. I?m using the comp as a htpc, just testing it out now. I have WindowsXP pro installed. It?s paired with e4400 cpu, 1 gig a-data ram, ide Hard drive.
I have noticed that the Northbridge gets extremely hot to the touch so I installed a Antec SpotCool fan and it works wonders, keeping it cool to the touch. I though this may have been causing the problems but they still occur when using the fan. I have installed updated chipset and audio drivers from Realtek and still no help.
I haven?t tried updating the bios but I may do that soon if I cant find another solution. I did some searching and haven't found anything that resembles my problem so I'm looking for some help. Any ideas?
