GA-965P-DS3 Incompatible or DOA?

Okay so...I recently helped my friend build a computer. But the thing is...the DS3 did not boot and computer did not turn on. I did everything in the manuals but nothing...

So I assumed the board was DOA

And then, my friend's mom's friend's, who is a computer technician, said that the motherboard was not compatible with the power supply, which was the Zalman ZM600 PSU.

So...is this board known to have issues with the ZM600? Or is the board just DOA?

He also has this RAM if it matters.

That power supply needs one of these to work with the DS3. I'm not sure how/if you could run it without one.

edit: it appears the newer ones come with an additional 4 pin plug to add with the 20-pin so hopefully you had one of those.

P.S. The RAM you mentioned is not an issue and works fine with the DS3.
