Here are my specs:
P4-2.4 @ 533
Gigabyte GA-8SG667 (SiS 648 chipset)Most recent BIOS
IBM Deskstar 60gb 7200 rpm
256 mb of Corsair XMS CMX256A-3200C2 DDR ram
nvidia GeForce3 Ti200
6-8 months old?

Recently bought another stick of Corsair RAM (same exact specs as above) to up total ram to 512mb. However, system runs very unstable now. PC will post and boot up, but any apps I open will shut down after a few minutes, giving me an error report. My BIOS settings on the Ram is 6-2-3-3. BIOS also shows dram speed at 400mhz, as it should be. Processor is NOT overclocked. Cooling should be ok as I've got a Thermaltake case w/ 5 fans. Anyone have the same problem or have any suggestions? I hate to see a good stick of RAM just sitting on my desk Thanks.

Change the setting to 6-2.5-3-3 . If that don't work try running it at stock instead of 400Mhz. Having one stick in running at 400Mhz may have to slow it down if you want to use more than a stick stable.
Then see how high you can get the memory to run.
