I have f-disked and formatted this Drive twice. The Install starts , but at first "enter" after initial files are written , the OS doesn't find mass storage device. The Hard drive is good(brand new and verified with separate computer) but won't show up for install.

When I saw the tile, my instinct jumped.

1. Obtain a copy of your SATA drivers. (They are usually found on your motherboard driver disk. Alternatively, go to the manufactor's website to download them.)

2. Run Windows XP installation, and watch carefully as Windows XP installation loads. Check the bottom of the screen for "Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver."

3. Press F6 immediately when you see it.

4. Press "s" to select any SATA device.

5. Load the SATA driver from step 1.

6. You know the drill...
