Hi,

I want to build up a new system with a GA-8IRXP and use my old Pixelview GF2 Ti.

Now Gigabyte states that one should be careful about the voltage settings the graphics card uses to not damage the board.
See: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/8irxp.htm and
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/faq/faq_vgainstall.htm

Has anybody this kind of combination of hardware in use with or better without any problems?

Or better does somebody know the correct voltage my GF2 is running on?

Michael

Your GF2 should run fine with the 8IRXP. I ran my old Hercules Prophet Pro with it... It was also a GF2.

Cards that you cannot run are Voodoo based cards (all including the Voodoo5), TNT, i740e, some SiS based cards....

Thx for reply.

I thought Gigabyte wanted to express that is does not depend on who is the manufacturer of the graphics card but on which voltage settings the card is running.
