GA-8IHXP RAID support

Has anyone had experience with the RAID functionality on a GA-8IHXP? I'm about to order this MB, but saw Elvis2's experience with "hesitation" when booting with RAID on Gigabyte's latest GA-8INXP. I downloaded the user's manual from the web, and noted that there was absolutely no mention of RAID capability in the GA-8IHXP manual, even thought it's metnioned in the factsheet.

I want to run mirrored RAID (and 512MB of ECC RDRAM), along with some some version of the Radeon 9700 card, and would welcome feedback from anyone with experiences to share.

I have the board, but only use the ATA133 feature of the Promise controller. I do know that the board comes with an extra manual for the Promise Controller's RAID functionality.
