This is my first post here so hello to all. Anyway, I've bought this board for a client and have nothing but problems. It won't shut down, just reboots back to the OS. It took forever to get the onboard raid working, with a fresh install of XP Home, but the floppy w/ the drivers finally took :disgust: Could anyone tell me how to fix this boot loop problem, I've tried everything, setting the Optimal & failsafe defaults in the bios, disableing the onboard LAN. I'm hoping this is an easy fix, here are the specs, in case there are any known issuses w/ this
config that I'm not aware of. Please Help !!!!

I have the same problem with my 8iexp. You choose start/shutdown, and it reboots instead. Won't shut down.

did you install any adaptec/roxio burning software? :Q

I remember having this boot problem when I installed Video Pack. It drove me bananas. It turned out that the software is not XP compatible. It may not be a hardware problem, it could be software related. Check XP threads...

Good Luck.
