Hello all! I'm new to the DIY computer builder world and have run into a large amount of issues concerning my two boards.

This message is about my latest board and what may or may not have happened to it.

I installed my Gigabyte GA-7ZXE the other night with only one stick of PC100/128 ram, a Hercules 4000xt card, drives (CD, DVD, HDD, and floppy), and WinXP Pro and was able to get

it running with no issues. I ran it for a few hours then I added in my other ram, ethernet, and modem cards. No issues. I felt very happy after my last ordeal with my FIC AZ11 board.

I came home last night and turned the computer on and the system froze at the Bios Boot Screen. Bad sign but I thought no big deal. Hit restart and the system started booting but the screen stayed black and I noticed that the HDDs did not seem to be spinning or at least the IDE light was not flashing. I tried restarting and shutting down a few times with no results.

I stripped the system down to memory, graphics, and drives. Nothing. I uncabled the the CD and DVD drives and the secondary HDD and nothing still. I've reseated the cpu, ram, and graphics cards. I've even switched out ram and graphics cards to no avail.

The system consists of the board, a 950 AMD, a new cpu fan liberally coated with thermal grease, and a new case (300w AMD cert.) plus the drives that I mentioned earlier. Like I said, the system ran fine for over 5 hours the previous night and now nothing. Any suggestions?
