Hello all,
I recently upgraded to a Gigabyte 7ZX mobo and Duron 650. The changeover went fairly well, but... during POST, when the system config info flashes by, in the hard drive area, it sez 32-bit mode is set to off.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.
HD is a Maxtor 20GB UDMA on master, slave is an S&F CD burner. The cable is installed correctly (blue-mobo, grey-slave, black-master). There'z nothing in the BIOS about 32- or 16-bit disk access. Windoze shows the drives as 32-bit. Chipset is the VIA KT-133 and the latest drivers are installed.
Much ado about nothing, or potential bottleneck?
