Guys need some ideas to help solve this problem pls.
Well whenever I power on the PC, it would give a primary / secondary master not found, I have to go into the bios to actually use the auto detect before a HDD is assigned in the bios. But however once i perform a shutdown the problem will come back again.
You might say that the controller might have issues but whats weird is that there seems to be no problem in detecting of the plextor CDRW I have on both the primary and secondary IDE. I've Flashed and tried all versions of the bios and all gived me the same problems as well
Other steps that I've done is to try changing the CDRW and HDD on different IDE channels but gave the same problem and I've tried changing the IDE cables as well.
I have also tried using 2 different HDDs a 60GB from WD and another is 40GB Maxtor to test it out. Sad to say both are giving me the same problems. The system is able to run fine when its back onto windows have tested a whole 10 hours on both HDDs and IDE channels.
Another thing I havent tried is changing the PSU. Would you think that it could be this issue or someother areas that I have not taken into account :brokenheart:
