GA-7DXR wont reset!

This is not the realtek nic problem as I use a 3com nic. Prior to my fresh reinstall of winXP, reboot worked normally. Now I cant reset any bios settings or reset from an installation, screen just goes blank and I have to switch power off then back on. Any thoughts?
