Ga-7dxr:Why are microsofts hard drive controller drivers better then Via's??

I have heard from several people not to install Via's hard drive controller drivers and to leave the microsoft standard ones installed. Why are the microsoft ones better then the Via ones??Are the Via ones just buggy with certain hardware or are they slower performing as well??Has anyone else heard this or know of why this is??thanks for any help with this

I'd like to expand that question to include the Ali drivers. Why are the VIA and Ali drivers not to be used?
