Those games do not default to single GPU...you are are reading the profile incorrectly.

The default SLI profile use a single GPU only. Other games like NWN1 have profiles that clearly mention SLI as default. 3DMark05,06 and Lightsmark2007 all have SLI profiles that use a single GPU. Scores in those benchmarks are about the same SLI or no SLI. 3DMark03 has a profile that clearly mentions SLI. I get +56% on that one.

What makes you believe 3DMark06 is defaulting to single GPU? The 12% gain you see is normal...

For reference Blazer7 I removed one of my 8800 GT cards and ran 3dmark 06, I scored 13890. Your 3dmark scores are correct for your CPU etc.

3dmark is a joke, and the kind that makes you cry, not laugh.

and I would prefer the optimized the SLI drivers for actual games, rather then stupid benchmarks.

Hi guys,

After 10 straight hours in limbo I think I?m out of it.

To make a long story short.

Running 3DMark03/05/06 @1280x1024 + AA x8 resulted only in minor gains between SLI & single GPU scores (+~6%).

Uninstalled Forceware - reinstalled Forceware, no dice
Re-checked hardware, BIOS settings, nV profiles still no dice
Reinstalled XP using old ghost Image, reinstall Forceware 169.44 beta and what do you know, single GPU scores remain the same but setting AA to 8 samples and enabling AF resulted in some nice scores.

3DMark03 +76%, 05 +26%, 06 +47%.

I?ll be testing a few games during the weekend but it seems that everything is working fine.

Thanks guys for sticking with me. Any further suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
