Thanks. I haven't ran any solid benchies yet. Still fine tuning my buggy arse mobo. Just about set though..

Asus P5N-T Deluxe 780i
Cards clocked to 740/1825/990
Q6600 @ 3.2
8GB G.Skill @ 1000, 5-5-5-15
Thermaltake Toughpower 850w

Marc,

I routed most everything behind the mobo, it's the top six pin PCI-E that has very little clearance but it's good for now. It's routed up from psu through the back:

Behind the board cable routing holes now standard on P182

Hard to judge from pic but the side panel fits on nicely

Tri-cools for the top exaust fans, a chunky 120mm x 38mm for lower fan, and S-Flex 1600rpm (sony fdb) everywhere else. Pretty quiet. With 65% fan cards idle at 39 and 42, playing Bioshock load didn't go above 53. :D

I've got a p182 as well ;) My PSU kinda sucks though, and cables aren't usually long enough to route them behind the mobo, in other words, my case is a mess when it comes to cabling :p

Your temps sound good, bit better then mine, but I do have a few fans less, but then again, I'm only running a single 8800gts 320mb.

Sometimes I wish I have the P182 or the 190, at least for the better cable management! P180s are nice by my biggest gripe by far is the cable management, it's really cramped in there with my 6 hard drives.

That 4 pin is the hardest one to hide by FAR ! I gave up and ran mine over the card. It annoys the hell out of me, but I had no choice either.

Yet another 4 pin that can't be hidden

What clips did you use to secure the fan on the upper cage ?? That should help out nicely on those cards.

Yup, love my P182 SE. Not using the upper HD cage. Makes the 9600GT look small! Wires were a mess in my old Sonata. Now it's all neat and tidy. The Corsair PSU has great cabling. My Mother would be proud if she looked inside!!

That's quite the rig you have there SteelSix! What are you using for a monitor?

you can get a 4pm female to male extension wire for like 4 bucks.

i did that and can run mine up the side of the p180 and away from sight, since i dont have the holes in the mobo like the 182

Oh that 4-pin mobo connector (sorry Marc). Yea I had plans to run that bad boy thru the back, not long enough.

How do you like your P5N-T Deluxe? I've been considering this board, but the newegg reviews have me a tad bit concerned.

Fairly solid with latest bios releases. Nice design, 8 phase power, good cooling. Vista needs a hotfix to run 4GB or more of mem. I've been luckier than most. Early buyers were tearing their hair out. Only problem, I have 8GB G.Skill DDR2 1000 and am still trying to get it over 950. I see you have G.Skill so it's worth a mention. Asus is famous for being first to market you know.

All in all, the board doesn't get a solid recommendation. All the quality caps and PWM's in the world mean nothing if the board isn't stable. IMO the reference boards are a better choice for 780i, esp if you plan to keep the board for only a year or so.

Thanks for that. I think I'll look to either EVGA or XFX then. I would be planning on keeping the board until DDR3 comes down to a reasonable price, which might be a while.
