Major increase in performance over X1950XT and does a lil better and sometimes owns the 7950GX2 too.

A lot of people we're saying the X1950 will be as good or better and same price as the GTS. I was hoping that was the case this is just more reason to upgrade and I just bought that 200$ powercooler x1950pro (got an artic cooler x2 on it and faster then others! sold out in hours on newegg) to hold me off for dx10 for awhile.

It's great card, but drivers must get better. Hope they release a fully working driver today :D

Looks like it benefits a lot from an overclocked dual core CPU (Conroe @ 3.15 GHz). Good to see that the lower G80 has some legroom with CPU speed. You'd figure being a generation newer than the X1950 it should have some extra room, not to mention double the shaders (though they need to be shared with vertex shaders).

DAAMIT needs to step up to the plate sooner than later. But any refreshed DX9C-tech they release, be it faster in DX9 games or not, will be labeled inferior.

Time to push their R600 developers a little harder.
