I'm happy with my X1800XT 512MB, I can play every game max setting no problem. I'm probably going to upgrade when the R600 hit the stores but for now I just can't justify purchasing the G80.

i have my new 8800 gtx and the evga 680i board coming on its way!!! im super stocked my 8800 will be here today

Damn, at what resolution are you gaming?

Going from 1280x1024 with X1800XT (used to be 1600x1200 with 7800GT SLI) to 2048x1536.

It's going to be a complete system upgrade though, A64 3500+ is showing it's age now & would sure as hell limit 8800's. I am tempted to update my monitor too but this CRT isn't showing it's age just yet, probably got another 2-3 years in it.

Waiting for the drivers to catch up to the hardware, for a price drop to at least MSRP, and to see if any X1950 Crossfire cards show up on the FS/FT boards at an unbelievable price.

A G80 refresh sounds mighty tempting too.

waiting for the G80 refresh.

> cheaper
> cooler
> smaller
> faster
> closer to actually seeing DX10 software

it is an amazing piece of tech, but it's not ready enough for me yet.

roll on March.

I did my step-up to 8800GTX on launch day but won't actually have it for a couple of weeks depending on the queue. I'll still probably get a G80 refresh card later on since I have several new system builds planned.

Just going to wait until the r600s are out. I'd like to see a) which one is better, b) I don't have the money and c) I'm happy with my x1900xt. I'll see whether there is any price drop when there is some competition from ATI.
