Nvidia responds ? strike four
The green company will react with G70 Ultra a faster variation of Geforce 7800 proct preety much just clocked faster. We don't know how much faster but if all works well just fast enough to beat R520.

ATI goes for faster R520 clocks ? strike five
If Nvidia turns out to be faster with Geforce 7800 Ultra than original R520 ATI will get some faster chips and will jeopardise its yields but will release faster card that might win some benchmarks but might be hard to get.

This is what we believe will happen when we analysed many intels that we got from the usual suspects. µ

No, the GTX is a lower model. They reserved the Ultra name for a future higher product. Looks like they are gonna need it if the rumors are true.

Hopefully the 7800GTX will be like the 6800GT was last year: an easy overclock to Ultra specs. I personally am not much of an overclocker, but even I couldn't resist a free upgrade to an "Ultra". I also hope they don't go nuts with "ultra extreme" and misleading naming this year either... I really wasn't to keen on last generation's vanilla 6800, with only 12 pipes and slower memory it should have been a 6700...
