I like macs, but they are insanely expensive, $1999 and no monitor? THe imac is just uber crap for $1.5k.

G5's pwn you all. Most of you Mac dissers never even tried using a one, it's just hip to hate mac. Well I use one all day at work, and I use a PC at home. My PC's blows away alot of people's rigs, but I still prefer the Mac for graphics.

Uh, whats your point. I can get 22" WideScreen LCD and a kickass PC rig too you know. I've used my Mac's I have 2 at home.

I work in a retail store and we just got our G5 disply in. its pretty nice and real fast but there are a couple of things i notcied that i didnt like.
Inside the aluminum case there is a plastic panel that , if taken out, will greatly deterrorate the performance of the unit.

also there is only one CD drive, migh tnot be a problem for some people but i like having two for various reasons.

the layout inside is interesting with a lot of open space in the bottom. wondering what you guys think!

Can you elaborate on the plastic panel? I'm assuming you mean cooling performance of the unit, not actual hardware performance.

No, he's right when he mentions hardware performance. The G5 is designed to downclock the system if the airflow director(the plastic panel) is removed, as the reduction in cooling performance could damage the system.
