You are right. That mouse is the best value when you get it for that price - it beats almost all the Razor offerings and the G5 is horrid in comparison - DPI doesn't matter when your sensor is bad. Good thing the mx518 dropped in price. I bought it a week ago from newegg and it's amazing.

Note that the value was calculated back when it cost £35 ($70) in UK, and its a much better value now for a mouse that works great at stock without any overclocking or mods.

what about the mx510? I have the mx518 bu I find myself never using DPI switching.

I don't see it at the egg, but Xoxide has the MX510 for $35 + shipment ($6 for standard, 9$ for 3 day guaranteed).
The MX518 is currently $46 shipped 3 day guaranteed from Newegg. No point in saving $5 considering there is no comparable review and all logic points to the MX518 being the superior product.
