is the G5 case friendly to AMD motherboards and what not or does apple not play nice with over the counter hardware?
 
WHO WOULD DO THAT TO A G5 CASE???? AND PUT A COLD CATHODE IN IT?! that's just insult to injury there, rice modders

That's part of what modding is about. If a briefcase/VCR/RC car can be modified to house a computer, why not... another computer?

What would be more awesome would be to put a PC inside the G5 while retaining functionality of the G5. How? Just gut a SFF barebones...
 
I had an empty G5 case, putting the PSU in there and modding the optical drive door to accomodate PC drives was too much of a pain to do.
