G5 Apple computer parts question

ebay is always a valid choice, a lot depends on what kind of G5 you are talking about (iMac or PowerMac) and what parts you need. Hard drives, RAM, and some expansion cards are interchangeable between Macs and PCs.

OK, well, when you said parts I assumed you meant internal...

Almost any USB keyboard/mouse will work with Macs. As for wireless, try a USB adapter. I know that the Mac Pro uses/d a standard MiniPCI adapter for wireless, but I am not sure about the Power Macs.

It cost me $200 bucks and half of hour driving to pick it up.
I think it was a good deal -

Like I said I hope it works out for you. Those units do use a ton of power compared to the Intel Macs. You can never upgrade to a newer Mac OS and you can't run Windows on it either. There are some Linux distros for it like Debian I believe. Again I wish you good luck with your G5.

Well I posted several Apple computers here asking what is good and what is not.
What I got for 200 bucks was this:

Keyboard, mouse and operating disk are included, what I'm looking for is just a wireless set up for it.

Your limited software wise on the G5 platform in a big way. Nothing has been developed in some time with PowerPC functionality in mind. Anything you get for it software wise is gonna be old and used. Apple has left the PowerPC platform pretty much in its rear view. I guess you got some software with it you like so I again wish you well with it. Personally I still think spending a few more fazules on a pre-owned Mac Mini made more sense for many reasons. Enjoy your new Mac.
