G4's E3 coverage is cringeworthy

I've never seen a more horribly produced live show in my life. They are screwing up everything from sound, to camera cuts. It's horrible. Almost like they hired an intern to produce the whole show.

Not to mention the fact that they cut to commercials every 30 seconds.

I pretty much stopped watching it when it became G4. Tech TV was great, but G4 killed off all of the good shows and added a bunch of mindless crap.

It was really bad.... no wonder microsoft ditched them for spike/mtv.

they even made the classic hd->sd conversion mistake where you had black bars on all 4 sides of the screen which were double when they were showing game clips and such..... had massive black bars around the image (was using like 1/16th of the screen in some spots)

G4 has become irrelevant when it comes to games. Spike/Gametrailers has filled that niche of gaming tv quite nicely lately.

Gaming tv? We've become so lazy that playing the games ourselves inits "tedious?"

What?

A gaming tv channel isn't about watching others play games, it's about seeing previews, reviews, interviews, etc.

That said, G4 took the wrong approach from the beginning by making an ALL game Tv channel. They tried to make up for that deficiency by swallowing techtv. But in the end they became a SpikeTv knockoff.

What Gametrailers and Spike are doing is in the right direction. Because lets face it, there isn't enough content to fill an entire channel with, so a weekly program works nicely.

Still, everything is online anyway.

G4's entire lineup is pretty cringe-worthy.

X-Play used to kind of be worth watching. Now, not so much.
