Where is the G450, everyone seems to have one but me! Is matrox handing them out like candy to any one willing to put in a kind word for them? If so I better start up a review site ;). But will this product ever come to market? Is it just a predecessor to the G800, I mena, the specs look like an under clocked G800 with 64bit ddr instead of a wider pathway. that .18 micron process must allow them to hit higher clock speeds then the .25 of the G400, so why didn't they?

Put in a kind word ? All the test shows it's not fast for games, only good for 2D... They're aiming for business not games. So I stick with G400/Max

Yeah, although the G450 will be cheaper and I would imagine with a TennMax hsf it will crank up to a fairly decent rate, dunno if matrox provides any OC options or whther I would have to go power strip however.

Still will fall below Max.. the design drastically change from Speed to dual head.. I have tennmax on all my video cards except tehe voodoo which is not worth ripping off the heatsink. It's already on .18 micron so it's already running cool, so you probably dont need a tennmax to overclock it.

Hey guys...I need some input...I've currently got an Asus V7700 GTSII video card. Used it for minor gaming, 3d stuff, but now I've completely turned my rig into an audio only pc. If you don't know already, most pro audio apps have many many small knobs, sliders, buttons that require a clear precise picture. I have a Sony G500 monitor and I feel like I'm not getting the most out of it at 1280/1024. A lot of audiophiles I know have told me I should jump onto the Matrox band wagon for the best 2d quality. You feel like I would be making a good move? Gaming is a thing of the past, but still i might fire one up here and there. This G800 you talk about, is this worth waiting for? Would I really get a better quaility picture with a Matrox G450 or G800 than my Asus V7700? I've had Nvidia forever, so I cannot make any comparisons. Would appreciate some critical input. Thanks in advance.
