Matrox G400 AGP OEM.
I turned on this "spare" computer one day and could not get the video to work. It worked the last time I had the computer on a couple of weeks ago.
It has worked for at least a year in this computer. There is no video at all. The monitor light stays yellow, indicating no video. The mobo beeps: one long, three short. No amount of reseating/reinserting the card helps. Fiddling with the BIOS (by using a different AGP card) does nothing.
I put the card in another computer: It works perfectly. Plays MaxPayne perfectly for several hours. It even looks
nicer than the better video card (Geforce2 MX 400), just a bit jerky.
I have gone back and forth between computers several times with identical results.
What the heck! What is going on? I hate to junk this card. It is outmoded, but the video is really pretty.
Any ideas appreciated.
