I jsut got my G400 Max and am trying to install it in win2k. It goes fine when I install the drivers. And everything is good until I reboot the system. Then it goes to 800x600@16 colors everytime. It shows no conflict and I am getting the same thing until I uninstall it and reinstall the drivers. I have tried using the 5.30 drivers and the 5.12 and get the same thing.
I have also updated the BIOS on my motherboard to no avail. I am running it in AGP4x mode but I get the same in any mopdem I try. Also, when it goes to 16 colors not only does this happen but the Powerdesk software dissapears from the display properties sheet. Any suggestions? Here are my system specs.

Did you install the VIA 4-in-1 drivers? And there's an AGP fix from Microsoft, might want to try downloading that too...but it sounds like an IRQ problem? It's never happened to me before in Win2k. Sorry, don't really know...you can try [l]www.matroxusers.com[/l].
