G400+Win2k+counter-strike=Low refresh rates?

I put win2k on a system with a Matrox G400. I have the newest 2k drivers. The refresh rate for the monitor is fine on the desktop. 1024x768x32bit res at 85Hz. In Counter-strike the refresh rate is at a horrible 60Hz. It hurts my eyes and I cant play like that. I know Nvidia has a program to fix this but is there one I can get for Matrox cards?

Hmm?don?t know what your problem could be. I have a G400 max, and all my games including CS run great. Average about 60-90FPS. I know others have had problems with their monitor defaulting to 60Hz when running games. Luckily I have never had this happen to me. Someone should respond.

Are you using beta drivers? I use WHQL drivers.

Yeah I put the latest beta drivers from there site on. I should try the WHQL ones.

CS don't even run on my Win2k partition (G400). I do get good frame rates on win 98 though (OGL, 60-85FPS).

Guess I should try the WHQl drivers.

Just got the latest WHQL drivers and it didnt fix it.
