Since there are some good ibook deals around i was thinking about how much faster P-m (lets say 1,6-2Ghz) is compared to a G4 PowerPC with like 1,3 or 1,4Ghz..
Any idea and sources?

Usually, G4s are compared to a pentium3-class of x86 chip.
I still agree, though.. the P4-M will crush anything a G4 has to offer. Maybe not a mobile G5... but apple's not making those
EDIT: I'd stay away from anything Apple in the PC market, until they get their head screwed back on. Wait until you (and everybody else) has a better feeling on what's going to happen.
Also - if you're looking at an iBook, performance isn't the number one factor - usually it's portability. PowerBooks are more 'performance-oriented', but cost a TON more.
