G4 Tech TV Merger

I'm sure most of you have heard that G4 bought Tech TV (I think Comcast is the parent company?). Here is a listing of the shows that will be brought over to the new network: g4 tech tv.

It looks like Call for help is gone... the screen savers remain

I thought I read on here that he was back?

EDIT: According to my gf I'm really dorky but I guess having a gf already precludes me from being as dorky/geeky as you guys

I already saw a G4 show on TechTV 2 days ago. Obviously the programming has already changed a bit. :/

The merge doesnt happen until later in the month. Right now G4 is airing TechTV shows, and TechTV is showing G4 shows, to get viewers "acclimated" to the shows.

Leo might not have been willing to pack up and move his family to LA. I think he already has committments in San Fran, but I'm just guessing.

That sounds about right. Leo has other commitments and prolly not worth his time to move his family.

But I understand that he's hosting a radio show in LA, so a move to LA would be sensible.

Who knows, it's prolly a compensation thing again.

I have Optimum Online Digital Cable. Will TechTV still be broadcasted on their or will it only be for Comcast subscribers come June?

Leo's been doing his own show "Call For Help" for a while. I imagine, now that he'll be gone, he may make a few appearances on TSS?

read the link... yes Cablevision will air the channel... but the channel # will be announced to us later.

I don't know why everyone is so angry that these two channels are merging. I love TechTV, and I could never get G4. Now that they are merging on the 28th of May, I get the best of both networks. And what's with everyone's facination with this Leo character? I never could stand him, and am glad he's gone from the Screensavers.

Leo's been doing his own show "Call For Help" for a while. I imagine, now that he'll be gone, he may make a few appearances on TSS?

Call For Help is just a show. It wasn't his show, he was just the host they picked from the TechTV staff. Before it was the Chris guy, and for awhile it was Martin, I think. Leo left, they decided to axe Call for Help, and Patrick now hosts Screen Savers.
