I'm saving cash to get either one of these. The G35 is based on the Z350. however both are really awesome.

I'm gonna wait and drive both, but what do you think?

I like the interior of the G35, but the outside of the Z350.

I personally like the 350Z, but it depends... Would you rather have a sports car or a sedan?

How about the Z560's? :p

It's called the 350Z, like the older 240Z, 300Z(X), etc.

Personally, I'd go for the G35 coupe.
But you can't lose either way, because they're both awesome cars.

I was wondering why 'Z350' looked weird.. :D

G35 Coupe.

It's the closest thing you'll get to a Skyline here for a few years. Not to mention that you'll get way better service from an Infiniti dealer than from a Nissan dealer.

Exactly. I'd rather have the 350, but the back seat in the 35 would come in handy.

I think the G35 coupe is the more appealing design (it also has somewhat more interior room, important for us tall guys, due to its longer wheelbase), and the Infiniti dealer support is clearly better. I would go G35.

That depends...assuming the G35 coupe is priced similarly to the sedan that's already out, they're fairly close...The 350Z starts at $26,269 and the G35 starts at $27,100

Well, just wondering if you'll be needing a bigger back seat than the 350Z would give you

I test drove the G35 Sedan yesterday. All I can say is wow. The dealer floored it on PCH before handing me the keys and I was kocked back into my seat. I have driven a 5.6L Mercedes (uncle's) and it was not nearly as amazing. The interior of the G35 isnt super high class, but its great for young/sporty people. Much better than the standard black plastic look in so many civics these days. I didnt get the test the handling really hard, but I did blow by a '95 era Buick on a pretty harsh curve at about 55 mph. The brakes are insane-- really they are not well tuned because they are WAY too grippy. All in all a nice car. I am gonna get a new car soon.

Now I just cant decide between G35 leather, G35 cloth, and Altima leather.

Any ideas?

I'm deciding between the 2 cars myself. I love the all chrome look and back seat of the G35....but I crave the Styling and power of the 350Z. Where can I find more pictures of the 350Z?

I personally prefer the G35 Coupe. RWD, 280hp, 6-speed is no laughing matter at around $30K!

Last week, I test drove a Lexus IS300 5-speed, MINI Cooper S, and BMW 330i 5-speed. I'll probably drive a G35 sedan before this week is over, even though I think the car is worthless until it too gets a manual tranny.

For those that don't know - the G35 and the 350Z are essentially the same car. The G35 appears to be the "2+2" version of the 350Z. I can't imagine that there will be a big difference in the luxury/comfort department - because the base prices for both are practically identical.

I'm suffering the same dilemma as MMX - I'm ready to give up my 300ZXTT and go with something a little slower, but newer and different.

The one thing I was always bummed about was that you couldn't get a 300 2+2 turbo. So the G35 Coupe, with the extra "back seats" and the same engine/driveline as the 350Z, might be a good answer.

I'm HOPING the aftermarket support will be the same for the two cars - everything I've read implies that they are essentially the same, except that the G35 is about 9" longer to accomodate the rear seats. I'm assuming the rear seats are as useful as they were in the 300zx/280zx, which was "you can stuff someone back there if you absolutely have to" but that's better then trying to convince your friends to ride in the hatch. hahaha.

Pics of 350Z here

I'd personally pick the G35 because it's classier, probably better interior, and a semi-usable backseat.
Power between the two will be very close.
