G33M-DS2R Help

hey guys, i just purchased my parts and built a mini system.. well i say mini except the nzxt rogue was bigger than thought.
Specs: E8200 2.66, G33m-DS2R, 4gb (2x2gb) g.skill pq pc2-8000c5, gf 9600 512mb.
Apon inspecting the bios i've noticed things are different to what im used to and feel i need some help preferably someone with experience of this board/bios (f8b)

My memory on auto (spd) is set to 800mhz 5. 5. 5. 15. I have no clue surrounding the voltage the bios seems to miss such settings (even under ctrl+f1? hmm maybe its ddr2 overvoltage control?)
Now i've assumed the system memory multiplier is the divider? anyway i've set this to 3.20 which takes the memory to 1066mhz, after this i get a red flashing *system voltage not optimized*

So if i set system voltage control to auto save and reboot i end up with a black screen and having to clear the bios via the reset button, if i leave this at manual save and reset sometimes i have a black screen and when trying it while making this post the bios reset itself to previous settings (800mhz)

Is this a simple case of bumping up the memory voltage if so how? do i have to loosen timings somehow? am i going to be limited to 800mhz? i wasn't expecting mega marvels but i am hoping to get more than i expect.

Hope someone can help, thanks

don't worry about the system voltage not optimized, manually set the DDR2 overvoltage yourself.

i take it i need to check my voltage in windows and boost it accordingly?

Sorry for double posting. I checked the memory voltage with everest and changed overvoltage to +0.3v. I changed the system memory multiplier to 3.20 (1066) once again boot fails.
Whats next?

What's the G.Skill rated for? I believe the base voltage is 1.8v, so overvolt 0.3 = 2.1, which might case it to fail if the memory is rated for 2.2 or 2.3..

okay i ran memtest for around 15 hours, the ram seems faultless. it is an older motherboard with nearly a year on the market now, the memory support list contains no entries for 1066mhz memory and the spec list says it supports ddr2 1066(OC)/800/667.

i installed my operating systems, vista exp rates the memory at 5.9 and everything runs like lightning. compared to my ip35 pro gf8 rig this is actually nippier.
this thread can be considered closed, im very happy with it for the purposes i need.
