Hi,

I noticed when I post my system doesn't see more the 3.1GB of RAM . Its an ASRock G31M-S with and E5200 processor. I thought it was just my OS, but I installed Windows 2008 R2 (x64).

Any ideas what causes this ? CPUZ sees it as 4GB

Now, I don't have an ASRock mobo, but I did run across this problem last year when I built a Q6600 pc for a client using an Asus Rampage II mobo. I believe there was a setting in the mobo's bios called memory mapping that allowed it to see all of the available memory. Now, I recently built myself a new machine using an Asus P6T Deluxe v2 mobo where I didn't run across any issues at all. I went to ASRock's website, but didn't find any info. You may want to send them this question via their Support Request Form.
