G257HU won't turn on after going to sleep?

After my monitor goes to sleep, I can't seem to get it to turn back on unless I mess with it a lot. I'll have to remove and plug back in the power and HDMI cord multiple times I noticed that the little blue LED light indicating it's on will turn off too. When I tried switching to a DVI cable, the LED would stay on when going to sleep, but I still couldn't get it to wake back up.

I'm not really sure what the problem could be. I'm on Win 7 x64 and using a 1070 with the latest drivers. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Edit: Actually, I think it's just faulty since the screen just went crazy and the image is not all distorted.

Have you tired waking it up with your mouse? There's a power management tab for your mouse in device manager....I had a monitor that would only wake up that way if I remember correctly

Yea, I tried everything to wake it up. Ending up just disabling windows from being able to put the monitor to sleep. But then after about 1 hour, only every 3rd or 4th pixel would stay lit resulting in a bunch of thin vertical lines with thicker black lines between each lit line. This happened twice after an hour of being on. Ended up just RMAing it. Too bad, it looked amazing when it actually worked.
