G15 Software Causing Windows to Hang, HALP

Alright folks, I've beaten my head enough on this. A few months ago I started having troubles with the logitech software for my G15. Basically what was happening is the LCD clock was freezing. It would stick at say, 4:12 am and wouldn't change. I could not close the program in ANY fashion, even using task maanger to terminate process would do nothing. This in turn was causing Windows to be unable to restart or shut down, as even a shut down command for Windows would hang indefinately, I assume because it was trying to close the unresponsive LCDmon.exe. Deleting the software fixed the problem, but then I of course lost functionality in my LCD.

Fast forward to a week ago. I have just reformatted my drives, totally clean installation with the latest updates of everything. All is well, until last night when lo and behold the LCDmon hangs again at 5:15 am. Same situation as pre-format, cannot close the program, cannot use Windows to reboot or shut down. Now it's even better because when it freezes I get a 2 second windows freeze every 45 seconds or so. Once again removing the software has cleared up any issues with my OS. I have run virus scans, spyware and malware scans, and as I said I am using the most up to date version of Windows XP with all installed updates, same with the Logitech software as I just dl'd it from this site less than a week ago.

Any help fixing this issue would be appreciated as I can no longer get the functionality of my LCD screen, and while hardly a necessity it was a selling point for me.

Are you 100% certain everything is up to date? Have you flashed the BIOS to the latest version? Are you SURE all drivers for everything (including motherboard) are current? Are you plugging the keyboard into a non-powered USB hub? That's about all I can think of....

I've not touched the Bios on this motherboard since I got it over a year ago. The software problem didn't crop up until about 3 months ago so I have serious doubts as to the Bios suddenly becoming the problem. All other software is up to date, and the keyboard is plugged directly into the back of the motherboard.

Absolutely nothing that I am aware of, and as I said after a fresh install of windows following a complete reformat, the issue is persisting. I've not added new hardware since I put a new hard drive in over six months ago. Other than running games, normal messaging apps, and web browsing/voice chat I don't run anything else on here, so I have no idea what software might be conflicting if any.

-off hand the time comes from the bios ,so upgrade the bios and chip set drivers ,they could be off/out of date with other updates. maybe, and or the setpoint drivers if you put new ones in , might be the problem.
-have you added any game plug ins ,rivatuner, ?

so, you did not update drivers, programs or anything 3 months ago? something had to have changed or happened then.
