I, personally, don't like "ergonomic" keyboards. So, the MS keyboard would be a definate no for me. I'm not worried about Carple. I've always used my computer in comfortable positions. And after over 25 years of heavy computer usage, I've never had any problems.

But, for features, I like the G15 better. Back lit keys, Programmable keys, USB ports, Turning off the "windows key" are all excellent.

Exact same decision I just made yesterday night. I also had the saitek eclipse on my list of choices. I will be going with the 4000. It looks like a lot better attempt at a split layout (which I normally hate).

I got the G15 because I wanted a keyboard with backlit keys which is awesome for gaming at night and LAN's. If you are looking for a sweet keyboard for gaming go for the G15. Unlike the 4000 it's especialy made for gaming with the backlit keys, 54 macro keys which can be very useful in games like WoW, CS or can be assigned to other functions like programs or folders. Some argue if the LCD would really enhance your gaming performance with the extra game information that it will be able to show in some future games because you have to look down away from your monitor. But even if you don't really use if for that it is still awesome. It shows CPU/RAM, clock, artist/ title/ time left if you play music and I'm sure a lot of other cool plugins will be available once programmers get started with the SDK.
As far as typing goes the G15 is very quite and the keys feel really nice.. not like cheap plasik. In short it is simply awesome and unless you really prefer the ergonomic key arrangement I would go for the G15.

You've sold me on the G15! I can't seem to find one anywhere. Any idea as to where I can get one?

Thanks,

The only place where it's available right now is at Best Buy I think. That's where I got mine and I haven't seen it anywhere else, not even at newegg or amazon.

I decided to try out the Eclipse while I wait for a deal on the 4000. So far I like it a lot more than my old MS Internet Keyboard Pro. It is on sale this week at Best Buy for $40, so it is quite a bit cheaper than the g15.

Thanks, you're right. I've been looking everywhere for the G15. Best Buy has them in stock. A bit pricey, but that's the way it is when you're the only show in town.

Best Buy is selling the the G15 for $79.99 + Tax. I'm ordering two of them, so you just saved me $40.00. That just about pays for the new mouse I'm going to get. Thanks a bunch!

yeah, that g15 looks awesome man. I work at the BB in ames, IA, one of the first things i noticed was the g15 (hadnt seen it prior), messed around with it a little, seems really nice. All the customers always stop on that one when theyre lookin through keyboards.

I didn't try it in any games or anything though (obviously none of the comps have anything installed at BB)...Lemme know how it works out in some games and that, as im interested in buying one to replace my logitech elite from a few years back (its turning into Das Keyboard with all the letters fading away : ( ).
