Hey guys, sorry but my last post I didn't get much info about if the G0 is the better overclocker or what?

Also what is the deal are they selling out of them and will not have them anymore?

OR are they still stocked with the other kind and everyone is just trying to make sure that they get the G0?

Also I see sites that will have the Q6700 for $100 extra are these going to be G0?

If so that brings me back to my first question. LOL Are G0's the better overclocker?

Just to be clear about the questions I am talking about the q6700 not the qx6700.

Sorry, but for a guy that has been running a 2600xp mobile in his tower @ 2.6ghz fir the past few years it is confusing . Thank you for helping me out.

the G0 uses less watts so it will produce less heat, this should make it a better overclocker but noone really knows yet how much better, if at all, it will be.

Well I have seen that the 6850 can get to 3.9GHz on the stock cooler, so the G0 stepping should be a noticeably better.

Most shops are still stocking the older B3 stepping. Probably want to wait a month or two if you want to get a G0.

A lot of the 6850 g0 results have been ES's.

but the Q6600 is not the 6850.

there are reports of the QX6850 hitting 4.7 on single stage which is unheard of.

it looks to be the money chip... if you can afford $1300!

Q6600 is the way to go if you want quad. $270 is hard to pass up unless you can wait a few more months for penryn which is clock for clock faster than conroe.

by the time some of us have a q6600 or 6700 in our hands. penyrn will already be out it seems like. if etailers dont stop price gouging! noone will buy out the old stock, well they will but at a snails pace.

Yeah, screw it. I'll just wait for Penryn. I might get a P35 board before then, though.. and use my existing processor and memory.
