G-Tech G-Mini - Are the drives replaceable/upgradeable?

MotionMan

Lifer
As a "bonus" (i.e. I did not know it was included) in a recent Craig's List deal for a Mac Mini, I received a G-Tech G-Mini (320gb).

I have done some searching, but have not found the answer to whether the drive is replaceable/upgradeable. I assume it is, but Google fails me again.

Any thoughts/experience/links (other than "Just try it and see!"?

My GTech G-RAID2 is replaceable. I did not have anything other than a pair of 500s at the time that I opened it up, so it stayed at the 1TB listed on the box.

OK, so I took the plunge and cracked this baby open. The drive that is in there is a 320 gb SATA Hitachi Deskstar (March 2008).

I got the drive out with no issues.

I am going to go to Fry's tomorrow and pick up a 1 or 1.5 TB drive on sale and see if the G-Mini will handle it. I do not see why it won't.

And, I have a place to move the old drive to - Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!
