G.Skill or Corsair??

I am planning a new system build... going for DDR2-800 or ddr2-1066....

Which one would you suggest? G.Skill or Corsair???

Vote for your brand!
thanks

If you were getting the Dominator 1066 then it would have to be Corsair due to the ICs they use and real tight timings you can get. Other than the 1066 Dominator I would get the Gskill HZ everytime out of the two brands on DDR2-800.

But this all depends on your budget, configuration, what you plan to do and whether you would be overclocking. Both Corsair and GSkill offer reliable DDR2 kits.

How would you know what ICs are there on different RAMs?? Is there a way to find out?
also I've heard that Micron D9's or somethng like tat is the best... is it true? what else ICs are good and preferable?

Are you able to buy Cell Shock ? or Team EXtreme ?

They are probably the best that are available in your market if you can get them... Team is Taiwan... Cell Shock is German...

G Skill is very good memory also... What O/S are you going to Run ? with what you are buying 4 Gigs... and 64 Bit only makes sense.

GKX & GMH are the best I think. I actually recommended that AxeRAM to someone else recently due to the price. But since I have never used the modules or know anyone that has I cannot comment on whether the Transcend kit is good or not

I'll vote for Corsair cos I've had very good warranty support from them. 🙂

BTW, I have a new pair of DDR2-800mhz Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 (none C3 or C4 version) running in dual channel mode on my MSI K9N Ultra. The rams are rated 5-5-5-12 @ 1.9V at 800mhz.

Like to ask if they shld be good enuf at 880mhz?

I've had GREAT performance with G.Skill memory.

BTW, G.Skill stands for GREAT SKILL.

Slogan: Great Skill in memory world!

G-Skill has the best name for ram. Everyone i've seen that runs it (Since G-Skill is an American company we don't get it here in Canada or locally for me) has great experiences.
+1 for awesome name
+2 for best price/performance.

Gskill makes your ram sound like a professional

Yes it is.

G.SKILL as I keep saying, makes the BEST price/performance memory modules in the world.
Also, they are the most system-compatible memory in the world also, save for maybe Kingston Value RAM...😛
