Not sure how much it will cost, but lower speed G. skill 4 GB DDR3 DIMMs have been dropping in price as of late.

makes sense if you have a proper motherboard it will interleave 3-wide and 3-deep with the same chip per socket.

need to wait for the next 4-chan 🙂 memory controllers that get passed down from the 8+ core nehalem-e. magny-cours has 4 already iirc. with 1R 4GB RDIMM you can stuff alot of ram on good boards these days without destabilizing. the UDIMM kills
