G.Skill for GA-EP45-DS3 - Which one?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the
G.Skill DDR2 4G (2x2G) PC8500 1066Mhz, Model: F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
and the
G.Skill DDR2 4G (2G x 2) PC2-8500 1066Mhz PI, Model: F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI
Is it just the Heatspreaders?

Also, should I have any compatibility issues running them with a E8500 (E0) and GA-EP45-DS3?
And how far do you think I can push them?
Would like to run a 4.0Ghz o/clock (9.5x421), with ram at 5:6 (1010), and the tightest timings I can get.

Yeah, just the stupid heatspreaders.
Avoid the PI spreaders IMO...makes for issues with some heatsinks, etc.

I like your OC goals.

If all you want is DDR2-1010 though, just get some good DDR2-800 or DDR2-1000.

Any of those kits will do DDR2-1000 to 1050, more with luck, as they are all very similar PSC.

My #1 overall pick: $140 - 20 MIR

Obviously, your pick here for $110 is good if you don't mind spending a bit more.

4:5 would get you DDR2-1053 (should work), or 3:4 would be DDR2-1123 (good luck needed).

As for best speeds/timings, you do indeed want to go with bandwidth over timings for Intel, which means the DDR2-1000 & higher range.

In that range, you'll get 5-5-5, 5-5-4, or rarely, 5-5-3.
PSC doesn't get far with CAS 4, & considering how you get better performance at the higher speeds w/ CAS 5, it's not even worth messing w/ CAS 4.
