The FlareX ram is very good and tuned specifically for the Ryzen platform. That being said it's way overpriced for the faster ram IMO.

Most people including myself have had great success with the G.Skill Ripjaws V series of DDR4. Most of it is Samsung chips and works well with Ryzen.

Also consider the trident Z series 3200 MHz CL 14. They should be Samsung Bdie.

The 16GB FlareX kit is now @ $250... unreal. It's great memory but at that price, pretty tough to recommend.

Thank you folks for the opinion, i ended up by ordering the following configuration:

Asus Crosshair VI Hero
Ryzen 7 1700
16 Go G.Skill Flare X @3200 CL14

Finally not limited by the amount of money.

I will come back for your information once it is working or not :p

There are 2 ways to do this.

Option 1. Buy random ram you find onsale cheap and try and get it to work at advertised speed on ryzen mobo(i did this, was a huge headache)

Option 2. Buy Flare X plug it in input the stilts timings and laugh at how much time/money you wasted trying option 1.

I did option 1, then option 2.... lol

Confirmed that my G.Skill Flare X Run at 3200 CL14 with bios 3008 without any problem, just have to select the right profil in bios, fast 3200 CL14 1,4 v

For CPU, it runs stable @ 3,9 Ghz for 1,3125 V, IDLE @ around 31-39 °C, in load @ around 60 °C, watercooling Corsair H115i

There's no denying it's great memory for Ryzen, just a shame that it was never cheap and it's only getting more expensive. Also didn't like the look of the heat sinks but they grew on me and don't look so bad in person. They actually match the jagged edges of the ASRock X370 quite well. I did pay around $170 for that kit though, which I was not happy about. I should really just shut my mouth about that now lol.

The B350 uses a pair of 8GB Corsair DDR4 that I originally bought at the very end of 2015 for under $150, brand new. I ran this memory with my 6600k setup for awhile and I lucked out that it worked with the newer AM4 board just fine, full speed and without any BIOS update. I believe it was Sammy memory though but it was much cheaper back then.
