I have built about 150 SB systems since Jan 2011 and that has not been my experience. But if you are happy, I am happy.

I would prefer the 32GB 1600 Ares which is $289 on NE now
Ripjaws doent fit under my HS fan and I dont use 1333
But the 1333 Ares 32GB is $209 no code
And 2 Ares 1600 16GB kits are not guaranted to work as 32GB. ($238)
Wonder if the 8GB sticks are an easy O/C to 1600 or if they have an 1600 XMP profile
Guess I'll have to call them
GSkill will let you return or exchange just about anything for any reason

Use the APRMEM15 code for 15% off ram without a typical promo code.

Most x58 boards were introduced before 8GB sticks existed, so it could simply be that they didn't contemplate 48GB in the specs, but as you've acknowledged, most original x58 boards listed 24GB as the maximum. Perhaps there's nothing different in the newer boards that list 48GB. Certainly worth a try.

Yeah, it works fine as I suspected. I believe they only publish 24gb as a maximum so as not to cut in on the workstation/server market.
