Gmail being in beta has absolutely nothing to do with weak passwords or the dissemination of private information.

Anyway, I just got a call saying that my card has been cloned, along with a couple of transactions by some asshat in another state. :|

and moron you cant CHANGE your SSN

You can change your SSN. It is not an easy process, but it is possible through the social security administration. BUt I do doubt they would change it for someone who said thier gmail account may have been hacked.
