FYI: Windows Server 2008 R2 + Hyper-V (Gaming rig)

For those of us who have access to an MS Server OS through MSDN or Technet:

Back when Windows Server 2008 was out, I wanted to have a consolidated rig for work and play so I installed the Hyper-V role but unfortunately 3d performance went to the gutter (many people saw the same thing online)

Fast forward to 2008 R2, the problem is gone! There is no discernable loss of FPS or chugging.

Just thought some of you would like to know.

::Is running a test exchange 2010, MOSS 2010, and 2008 R2 DC @ Hyper-V while playing Battlefield 2::

I was wondering why would you want to game on a server system? And why would a server system run a gaming class video card?

I think he's talking about running Server 08 as a workstation and using hyper-V for education/testing.
