Bought these Creative Inspire 2500 2.1 speakers for the family PC.
Cliffnotes : The rubber feet on the Creative Labs Inspire 2500 2.1 PC speakers can/will damage wood finish desktops.
They have been sitting on the desktop of our nice customed stained computer armoire since Xmas. I went to clean the desktop and noticed that the rubber feet of the speakers had severely blemished the finish of the desktop. There are deep brown stains wherever the feet had rested. The stains are down into the wood, requiring sanding and refinishing to remove. Really sucks that $50 speakers ruined the finish of my $1k piece of furniture.
Creative tech support have been really good about this. I was surprised by their responsiveness, and they actually offered a few different resolutions. They also admitted that this isn't the first they have heard of this so it's not just me! The feet on these speakers can damage wood finish.
