I don't believe the fact changes had been done were announced anywhere, but the previously published rules have been modified.

I was going to post a question asking why my previous thread had been (effectively) deleted, but when I went to reference the applicable section I found changes had been recently done.

Looks like the new era of Anandtech land "openness" has been firmly squashed and you can safely ignore use of the PFI forum for the foreseeable future.

Also I noticed DW had his tag changed so one would presume he is no longer in an official capacity here, so if you have need of assistance of that capacity you may just have to pester the man at the top for help or the identity of the replacement personnel, if there is one.
 
Rant would make sense if you made sense. You are terribly vague and point out zero actual issues, meaning this thread will no doubt get locked for uselessness.
 
Sorry buddy, not going to repost all the rules here so you could see the changes. But with about the same effort to open this thread, you can enter that thread and read them for yourself.

What exactly is the issue? Was something changed that you don't agree with? I read through them and didn't notice any significant changes.

Way back when during the great emancipation from the old forums software and ways, members were unbanned, lions danced with antelope, rules were developed and published for users and moderators, this subforum created for users to discuss issues of forum operation, and a direct contact with site management given for when users felt they were unable to get an issue satisfactorily resolved just by using this new subforum. All described to make this a better place via fairness and with an open transparent attitude towards all.

Now there is (presumably) no management member providing oversite or assistant to users. All reference to using this subforum have been deleted. And I just saw a lion eating the antelope.

There are 2. Perknose and esquared. They are the forum overlords (Derek's old position) and are 'over' the mods and admins.
 
meh, the OP has always been a whiney, ass. Do like you did in the past and shoot Anand an email. He'll take care of it for you right away.

I thought he quit because he hated having to run the forums? Either way it's a pity he left, it was good to have a top dog who managed the place without a lot of personal involvement.

Lol, it about killed him. He was so stressed over it that he often took ill for weeks and months at a time.

Anand never returned mine but he did act on them. Sometimes.
Derek used to return my emails.

this was back when he was on geocities and my boss and i spent a lot of time overclocking and sending our results off to anand.

also, i agree. you like the place or you move on, that's about all there is to it.
