I picked one up a few days ago. They aren't in stock but they're retail. Anyway, I got an Email from a Chumbo rep saying they expect them in 2-3 weeks.

Didn't know about the coupon. Thanks though! :)

PS - My card ordered on 12/24 shipped today. Unfortunately they didn't do the overnight like I requested so my ETA is 1/10 (Monday). Oh well, I'm still looking forward to building the beast.

Yay, happy happy happy, mine shipped too. Overnight too so I get to play during the weekend. :)

Funny, I called yesterday and they said two weeks. Now I can stop using this GF4 MX440.

Depending on when you ordered, it may have shipped.

I ordered 4 days ago, and I'm still on the waitlist.

They got 90 cards in, and there are still 100+ people waiting after that.

Still listed as 2-3 weeks.

(By when I hope DFI has their NF4 SLI board out)

Good news for some people.

I figured Chumbo was being kinda conservative on their estimates of when they'll get more stock, so as to play it safe. I take all dates given with a grain of salt after last year's fiasco over cards (Gateway and Dell X800XT's anyone?).

Ha!!!!! Don't remind me of Gateway and their X800XT's! They gave me the runaround for 6 weeks before I cancelled my order. Did anyone ever get any of them in?

The funny thing is I started looking around for PCI-E 6800GT's in case Chumbo didn't come through in the next week or two. There's *nothing* out there. Even those listed in stock on Pricegrabber were actually out of stock if you went to their site to order them. Oh, and they were *way* over retail.

Chumbo = sweet! :D (well, except for the little not doing my overnight shipping thing) ;) :p

I'm not sure if I'm lucky, stupid, or both. I mean, since I'm moving to a PCI-E based MB I'm going to be selling my perfectly good (but used) AGP version BFG 6800GT that I paid $399 + tax for only a few months ago. Needless to say I'll be taking a considerable loss on it with no real performance gain by moving to PCI-E other than being able to go SLI at some point in the future.

Does anyone want to buy a slightly used BFG 6800GT? ;) :p

I emailed Chumbo about the availability of this card and they told me:

"The ETA for the PCI-E card is 2-3 weeks"

I'm so sad. Gotta wait forever for this card.

Mine just arrived. My first order from Chumbo. In case anyone is wondering here's the contents...

1. Video card (yeah, duh!) ;)
2. CDROM with drivers, manual, and Nvidia proggies
3. CDROM with *DEMOS* of Painkiller, Silent Storm, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
4. 2 DVI -> VGA adapters (this card is dual DVI out)
5. "Y" cable power adapter. Hard to describe - it's not a standard 4-pin -> 2 4-pin adapter. Haven't seen one of these myself yet.
6. Invite card to http://www.bfggaming.com (nothing special really)

That's it. No frills but at least it's a quality card at retail price with cheap shipping. Well, I'm off to get my new rig up... :)
