Thanx a lot. Any loss in quality?

A bit off-topic but is there any reason why you can't do a one-to-one copy and just play the ISO? Why do you need to convert to another format?

No but it depends. I've converted some that come out perfect. I've converted others that are not so perfect.

The 360 won't play ISOs unless it is through the Media Center. It will play Divx, Xvid, WMV, and h.264 through the dash.

I'm not sure about the PS3. I don't think it can play ISOs though.

Thanx. To get the highest quality, do you use Divx, h.264 or Xvid?

I used Xvid because the 360's version of h.264 doesn't support 5.1 surround....only 2 channels.

Does this program let you create a lossless version of the DVD that your 360 or PS3 can play? That's what I'm interested in. Even if it's full DVD size. Just something the 360/PS3 can play.

Pretty much. You can adjust the file size/compression ratio to whatever quality you desire.

Quick? I posted this is software for Windows last week 😛.

But yes, great program for getting content to your consoles. I'm currently working on ripping all my DVD's to stream for the 360. Along with Queasy I use Xvid/AC3 for settings so you get the full 5.1 through the 360. The files are a little larger but I think it's worth it.

MFL.

I really dislike the current tool I'm using to convert.

Is this a one step process once you set up all of the parameters of the rip?

Pretty much. Just choose the filename, how much you want (or don't want) to crop, choose the audio stream and then choose the file size/compression ratio. I usually got in the 90:1 - 100:1 compression ration.

How do you play ISO through media center?

You know, I did it once not long after the 360 came out and I've forgot. 😱

I've tried but haven't figured it out. Maybe I'll just convert everything to a 360 format. I really hate though that you can't watch XVID in Windows Media Center.

I really wish you could stream ISOs to your 360 (or PS3 for that matter). I would write off DVDs altogether.

If anyone has any suggestions at all, I'm quite interested.

Funny how the original XBox can. Hmmm.

Yea, but there's no HD upscaling and you need to mod it. Unacceptable.

So I could rip all my dvds to my pc and stream them to my 360? What is the best what to organize and manage all of these rips?
