Just emailed Epox tech support inquiring about the power supply requirements for the 9NPA+ Ultra and got this response...
Although we would suggest use of 24 pin power supply of at least 450W. Any
existing 20 pin power supply (350W or more) would still work just fine.
When I wrote back with my system specs of:
I currently have a new Enermax Whisper 420w ATX 2.01 Power supply that I was wondering if it would work with the 9NPA+, Athlon 64 3000 Venice, evga 6800gt, 2 gig corsair value ram (4 x 512), Creative 52x CDRom, AOpen DVD Rom/CDRW, Western Digital 80gig SATA drive, and a Western digital 40gig IDE. If not I would have to sell it and aquire something else? if so what would you suggest? Thanks
They responded with:
I believe your current power supply will work just fine.
So it appears that the Epox board is a bit more forgiving in terms of power.
